It's that time of the year, and family and friends are finally able to come together to celebrate the holiday season! Sure, thanksgiving is all about giving thanks (and more importantly the food), but how do you want to present your Thanksgiving dinner to others?
A centerpiece is an important focal element to any dining gathering and a great way to spruce up for the holidays! Whether your simple yet classy or bold and extravagant, there is a centerpiece for every person and every Thanksgiving occasion.
How to create the perfect centerpiece:
Start by identifying your table shape. If your dining table is long and rectangular, your décor should be lining the entire center of the table just like the photo on the right. This creates a visual element for everyone sitting around it.
If you have a round table, opt for a round centerpiece with a round element in the center (such as a pumpkin or basket) and surround the perimeter with leaves, vines, candles, etc.
The same goes for a square table. Refer to the picture below.
2. What do I need to decorate my centerpiece? Here's a list of everything to create the perfect thanksgiving décor:
-pumpkins or gourds(small, medium, large)
-Candles (small, medium, large)
-fall leaves and green vines
-Glass accents (figurines or candle holders)
-Coordinating table runner (for long dining tables)
-coordinating coasters
-pine cones and wood slabs
3. What colors should I use?
This is completely up to you! You cannot go wrong with any certain color, but here are
some tips and inspiration photos. I always like to start with a neutral palette and build
upon that. Orange, red, and browns are the standard colors of thanksgiving, but there
are so many great color schemes for your thanksgiving centerpiece.

These centerpieces are perfect DIY projects. Places I love shopping for centerpiece decor are Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Target, and especially thrift store to create something unique. Get creative and have a happy Thanksgiving!
